Pomsky Grooming Tips

  • Do Pomskies shed? Absolutely!
They blow their coat about twice a year. It helps to brush your Pomsky a few times a week, *consider brushing outdoors to reduce the amount of hair blowing in your home.
  • * Never cut a Pomsky coat! It causes damage and can prevent their coat from growing correctly. Undercoats provide warmth during the winter, also keeps them cool in the summer. Double coats = temperature control.
  •  Bathing your Pomsky, please use pet shampoo. They require a formula made for dogs that will prevent removal of oils they need for healthy coat and skin.
  • Check paw pads, for rocks, insects, mud, snowmelt, those can be painful for your pup. During the winter you may notice cracks in their paw pads, also painful. There are several products that help heal and protect paws and noses. Musher's Paw is a product we use.
  • Brushing teeth is a great way to maintain overall good health for your pup/dog. Chews and bones can also help keep teeth healthy. Try Coconut Oil on a toothbrush.... most dogs love it.
  • Please call your vet if you have concerns, and continue to take your pup/dog for routine checkups.
